Presentación

Lorena starts to study viola when she is eight years old at the “Conservatorio Manuel Quiroga” from Pontevedra (Spain). She continues her studies in the “Escola de Altos Estudos Musicais” with the professors Tilmann Kircher and Natalia Madison and she takes her further studies at the “Conservatorio Superior de Música” from Vigo.

In 2015 she gradutes at the “Hogeschool voor de Kunsten Utrecht” (The Netherlands) with the teacher Mikhail Zemtsov and in 2017 she finishes a master in music performance at the ArtEZ Conservatorium in Zwolle (The Netherlands) with the teacher Julia Dinerstein getting the highest marks.

She participates in diverse music festivals, such as “Sugrizimai” (Lithuania), “Aurora” (Sweden) and “Oranjewoud” (The Netherlands) and she develops an extensive orchestral activity collaborating with different orchestras in Spain and in the Netherlands.

She receives masterclasses from recognised violists, among which we can highlight: Yuval Gotlibovich, Prunella Pacey, Ilan Schneider, Simon Rowland-Jones, Sven Arne Tepl, Alexander Zemtsov, Michael Kugel, Alan Kovacs, José Manuel Román, Paul Cortese, Rachel Roberts y Vincent Fillatreau.

Since 2013 Lorena combines her concert and her pedagogy activity, and since 2017 is member of Vertixe Sonora.
