Ignacio Barcia

Bachelor in Fine Arts of Complutense University of Madrid, and Doctor in Fine Arts of University of Salamanca, where also he taught for eleven years, Ignacio Barcia is part, since 1996, of the Department of Sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Pontevedra, the center of which, also, he was Decano. Since 1990, he has exhibited his artistic creation work in several prestigious galleries in Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Valladolid, Seville, Zaragoza, Valencia. … participating in various fairs of contemporary art. Likewise, his work has been exhibited in many collective exhibitions of national and international nature in galleries and art centers of Vigo, Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Bilbao, Bordeaux, Valencia, Berlin, Paris, Hannover or Amsterdam, commissioned and organized several exhibitions, in general linked to their teaching task. From 2014 until 2018 he was coordinator of Room X, Exhibition hall of the Pontevedra Campus of the University of Vigo.
