Diego Ventoso

Diego Ventoso studied percussion at the Superior Conservatories of Vigo and Castellón, at ESMAE (Porto) and at the Peabody Conservatory of Music (Baltimore, USA). He won the End of Career Honor Award (1997), a Mention of Honor in the Spanish Youth Music  Competition (1999) and won ex aequo the Third Cycle of Young Interpreters of the Barrié Foundation (1999). He has collaborated with different orchestras and ensembles of contemporary music with which he has performed in Europe, Central America and the United States. He has been a member of Vertixe Sonora since its foundation and artistic director of the Contemporary Music Cycle of Lugo “MIHLSons-XXI”.
